Using Recycled Board – Why?

Vanessa Bee

For me, the thought of sustainability started a few years ago when I took my niece Juliet Petre | LinkedIn to Refill Nation to purchase wholefoods. While I was busy scooping up the organic dates and sugar-free iceblocks, she selected a bamboo toothbrush in kraft packaging …

“Err…Why? ” I asked. I’ll never forget this moment as she expressed her fear for herself, her cousins, my son and all their friends ( Gen Z) and families about the future ahead. Her passion caught me off guard. She was earnest and honest enough to share her deep concerns – I should have known, she was picked to be an intern packaging technologist with Goodman Fielder. I suddenly felt a pang of guilt buying the takeaway coffee and chucking it in the bin on the way there…. also the fact that my siblings were all in the packaging game in some shape or form.. and we had work to do.

Working with Rodger at Boxkraft, sharing his passion and his beliefs – we have chosen to immerse ourselves in 100% recycled paper or kraft materials – it feels comfortable and yes, we are all still learning.

For our customers, thank you for choosing recycled cardboard boxes. Do talk to Rodger, John or myself about premium, environmentally responsible solution for your packaging.
